Contractor liens and the notice homeowners should expect
Read the transcript

Hi, I'm Christy Palmer, a partner here at Kitsap Law Group. A lot of people know that contractors and subcontractors who improve real property can sometimes file a lien against that property if they're not paid. A lot of people, contractors and homeowners, both don't realize that before the contractor can file a lien they often have to give notice to the homeowner. And many times that notice has to be given before work is even done. If you're a contractor who has a question about your lien rights, or if you're a homeowner who's being threatened with a lien against their property, feel free to give us a call and we'd love to see if we can help you.
